David Madsen
Broker
I started my career in financial planning from 1995 to 1997. I obtained my health and life insurance license, and series 6, 63, and 7 securities licenses. In 1997, I obtained my real estate license, actively closing real estate and mortgage loans. Utilizing experience from my financial planning and investment background, investment real estate was a natural fit. I began my real estate experience with multifamily property - both representing clients and investing for myself. The needs of clientele expanded into land developement, commercial, wholesale properties, and froeclosures. The REO market grew substantially in Utah during the latter part of 1999 until 2004. I capitalized on this growth and represented numerous banks in the sale of their REO inventeory. This continued through the Great Recession where short sales and REO properties were commonplace.
I became a broker in 2006. I have been an owner/principal broker of a real estate company (Thornton Walker, Inc., originally - now United Real Estate Advantage) since early 2007. I have kept up on most educational opportunities in my field, including having taken the CCIM courses.
